My buddies 05 1000 is over here and we are doing some work on it for the race season, and i decided to make up a harness converter from the 99-07 Busa connectors to the newer JAE style connectors, so i got the harness adapter made up, and i went up to the shop to see if it would do anything i was expecting it to just maybe spit or back fire through the exhaust or something, but to my surprise it fired right up, the only thing i changed from the Busa MSQ to the 1000 to get it to start was change the crank trigger setup from 24-1(Busa) to 24-2 (1000) wheel.

Another good thing is the dash data is so close to the busa that the coolant gauge still works the gear indicator dosent work but i will fix that tonight ( i need to add this data to the IB program) we are going to set him up a board for his bike to do some testing on and if everything goes good with it i will make up some boards for the 1000 the 08 up Busa should be the same as the connectors are the same and im sure te serial data to the dash is the same on the newer Busa all the sensors are the same ( except for a hall sensor on the cam).

One thing i am going to have to do some work on is filtering the 12v input into the IB from the stock harness is is SUPER noisy, big spikes from 15+volts down to 6 volts, gonna have to add some BIG filtering caps to the input of the board to help fix this but hopefully it shouldn't be to big of a job.
