Many don't last the distance, from what i hear Bonneville is much the same as lake Gairdiner here , early in the week there is a long wait for a run, at the end of the week there are a lot less competing , quite a few due to hurt engines.
Don't know how nuts i am yet

only run a best of 223mph which was the fastest anyone had been over here , a easy and a planned 8500 rpm run after handling probs, never had the chance to realy turn it up after that.
The next year was wet , Noonan was one of the visiting riders, rode an amazing 235 in what i thought was very poor conditions , i couldn't get anywhere near that, chewed out a clutch , and had a faulty fuel pressure reg that i kept trying to compensate for with the engine manager , just one of those years...
Maybe find out if i'm nuts enough to go very fast when i come over for the Bubs event in Sept
Pinky lots of records out there , thats why there are several likeMcVicar, Noonan and Wildbro taking there fairings off , that class still had to be fully explored to see what the limits may be.
For example i think if you took a bog stock cx500 turbo out you would set a record.
get real keen and sleeve a 600 down, turbo it and you could set a very respectable record in that class. probably frighten a few production class busa's
