The map sensor is not pink thats the color of the protective plastic baggy it comes in.LOL and its about the size of a quarter plus it will probably fit inside the uS case so no external wiring to worry about.

I actually thought about that later and already had a laugh at my own expense, but by all means........  laughing7 laughing7 laughing7

LOL i hear you i do that from time to time.

You might as well use this sensor since the voltage scales are already there from the start plus you get constant barometric correction included that why  two sensors are there.

uS is short for Microsquirt. I thought the same thing when i first seen it called that.

Well i can talk to Matt and see if he thinks it will fit inside the uS case if so then it should be air tight and water proof if not im sure i could make you up a case to put it in then pot it with epoxy and it would be watertight also if it will fit inside the uS case i would for sure go that route.

There's enough room in the case for the MapDaddy, but as the Microsquirt wasn't designed for it, you would need to fabricate some sort of mounts for it and it would take a bit of creative jumper soldering.

Matt, maybe someone on the board knows of a location on a Hayabusa for a second water temp sensor?  Could I tap into the factory Water Temp Sensor?  I will have to have the plenum modded to fit a secondary IAT sensor, but that should be no big deal.  I can order all the sensors for you guys when I order the MS, correct?

I know the MS and the Motec are different programs, but the theory should be the same.  I want to start tunning off a Dyno and really just want to get an idea on what effects what.

Splitting the signal from a factory sensor isn't very easy to do - you'd be better off not running a water temperature sensor than trying that, as usually this messes up the reading on both ECUs. Yes, we sell coolant and IAT sensors.

While they're at opposite ends of the price range, a lot of tuning knowledge carries over. The idea of a 3D fuel map is the same for both of them. There's only a few aftermarket ECUs that have really different tuning methods, such as a couple tune-with-a-screwdriver systems.

I will custom build an inclosure for it.  I am sure I can figure something out.  I don't want to mount anything inside of the little MicroSquirt.  I can just build a small box and fill it with epoxy after I am done for protection.  Sound good???

Any ideas on finding a tiny aluminum box?Huh?

OK, I will have to find a spot for a new sensor, at the VERY LEAST I can use the Radiator, as I relocated that sensor.  But I bet there is another location I am not thinking of, but I will figure it out.  I don't want to run without it, if it would help.

That's what I am talking about, the general knowledge carrying over is what I care about.  Plus I am also going to start installing EFI on carberated cars, which don't have a CAM SENSOR.  MS seems the best/less expensive way for me to offer this to my customers, both bikes and cars.  I don't want to be a lawyer for ever, I hate wearing a suit and having clean fingernails!!!!!!  laughing7 laughing7 laughing7

Sounds like a plan - you may be able to find something at a electrician supply place or industrial catalog like McMaster-Carr.

We're working on an official carb to EFI conversion project here, too.

Thanks Matt i wasnt sure if it was possible or not.

Joey if you need help with the enclosure or any thing i can help you with let me know and i will do what i can.  I could make you one of my adapters that screw into the block for the temp sensor so you dont have to weld anything or do any cutting it would screw right into the block where the allen plugs are.

I am sure I can find something, if not I do have a bridgeport, I will make one out of a solid hunk of amuminum or plastic.

My father has a 1979 BMW 2002csi, with a 2.4 lt. 4 cylinder, with Weber Sidedraft carbs..  I am going to fabricate a sheet metal intake and maybe use a Neon Throttle Body.  I can fab up a header and mount at GT28r Turbo.  I really want to see what I can get these MS ECUs to do!!!!  My father has already agreed to to let me use the car as a project for me to hone my fabrication and EFI skills.  Doesn't hurt to have a TIG, MIG, Bridgeport and Lathe either....LOL

I will keep you guys posted.
