I have cheked the mark when I had the degree wheel mounted! The mark is at tdc!
My max boost will be 220kpa at idle I have around 90kpa
In the msq I postet on the other forum, I have set the rpm´s and the map!
Ok your MAP sensor is going to need to be calibrated for sure because 90 kpa is almost to the boost point it really needs to be atleast 70 kpa at idle or so or you will have no resolution to tune it while in steady state riding this will need to be taken care of before any tunning can be done at all . I dont think the standard uS code will do AlphaN blending is so you can set it up with load tables so you use TPS up to a point then the Map takes over from there. The guys on the extra forum are working on the uS code and have a few betas out you might be able to try . Another thing there is a schematic on the regular Megasquirt forum to run 4 map sensors (one for each throttle bore) to smooth out the kap signals a guy tested it on a R1 motor and was at 70-75kpa at idle when he built his circuit it moved his idle kpa range down to 45 - 50 kpa at idle . http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=29502&start=40&sid=0698d28b0d3c89d4e4bb8de508e09df8Im going to try this also and see if there is an advantage over the table blending setup.

To calibrate your map sensor you will need to know the kpa with the motor not running this will be your figure for the 0v then you will need to know the kpa figure for the 5v reading .
You could find the figures pretty easy with a air source and a volt meter or your scope but you will have to do the math for PSI if you use that figure or Bar if you use that.

I got the sensor calibrated today! Got 75kpa at idle! Tryed the AlphaN Blend mode, could not get it to work... Maybe I should try the blend mode later...
It have to work with only the one mapsensor!

Yeah i havent messed with the AlphaN yet either so yes start with regular speed density and see how it works if you dont have enough resolution you will have to switch to AlphaN. Maybe by the time you get it tunned i will have messed with the AlphaN and can help you out if you need it. It have to work with only the one mapsensor! AlphaN works with two tables one is TPS based and the other is MAP based.

LOL Yeah it takes a while to understand whats going on an try stuff but once your done the next bike you do will be a breeze. I dont fully understand the AlphaN my self yet but i havent messed with it any so im sure once i go through it a try it i will grasp whats going on.

I got the bike going ok yesterday, and it is now responding to the throttle I think still there is some misfireing tough... Will the trigger settings be best at rising or faling edge? It is at rising at the moment... When I look at the signal from the vr sensor on the scope, with the ground connectet to the outside of the cable, and the positive to the inside, the signal looks like the correct signal in the manual!

Is your RPM stating stable in MT while it missing?
If you could get a datalog while its missing would be very helpful in seeing whats going on while its running.

Actualy I have not noticed! There is also a strange fault, sometimes while tuning and the engine dies, and I try to crank it, there is no rpm signal in the megatune and There is no ignition! After switching ignition off and on, rpm is back and the engine starts!
Strange!

Thats because some settings you change the key has to be cycled to restart the ECU or they wont be burned into flash.

No, it is not because of that, it can be while I'm just adjusting the ve table! Any way, I got the engine going nice and smoothly today! It also respond to the throttle I need to make an ignitiontable to start with! I have got a program to do it with, but I have to give it some numbers to calculate the table... I know the ignitionadvance on my bike should be 4deg at 1500rpm on the stock engine with stock ecu. My engine is NOT stock anymore! Compression is lowered from 11.8:1 to 8:1 The cylinder head have been slightly worked over, and all sharp edges is removed. The piston domes is polished, and sharp edges is also removed. Canals (ventilation) between the cylinders is made to help undercompression, Crankshaft is lightend and balanced. The camsettings is 106deg and 106deg The plan was to boost 210kpa(1.1bar) Driving on pump gas 95Oct Where will I start the map? Here is the calculator I have found, the scale is only to 10000rpm, so I have to calculate the last 3500rpm´s Check it out here: http://www.powerpage.dk/tuning_ignition-filer/Ignition_timing_konfigurator_opstartsmap_v106.xls

Sorry it took so long to get back Torben i sent you a timing table to use try it and see how it works you may not need so much retard in the boost range but this should keep it from burning a piston to get started tunning.

Are you sure about that table? It looks strange! Take for example at 100kpa ther is 36deg from 3500rpm to 13000rpm! In the table I have made, I have at 100kpa 17,5deg at 3500rpm and 47deg at 13500rpm I will send you my table... The rpm´s is only to 10000, so I have calculatet the rest...

Let me see the table you have i didnt start retarding till the next cell above 100kpa since the table slopes into the next cell also i wouldnt let the table keep advancing your timing after 5000 rpm i would have FULL advance at around 3500-4500 rpm then carry it on out from there you dont want it to keep advancing through the RPM's for a certain cell as this could cause it to detonate higher up in the RPM plus its usually a good thing to retard a little in the high RPM's. Like i said this is just a starting table you wont find a ready made table thats going to make the best HP unless you tune it to your motor so dont worry about it being perfect right at first be conservative and slowly work your way up on it better to start off with not enough timing that way too much and tear something up.

Do you think I have to use AlphaN? I can´t get to work! Anyone I have talked to, have never tryed to ude AlphaN Blend, and don´t know how to tune it... I have got it going ok now, with the map sensor! Will take it to the dyno next week!
I got 75kpa at idle!

Only way to know is try it map based and see how it works if you can get enough map points to tune it right you will have to switch to AlphaN to be able to have enough point in the map to tune it . What will happen is is Map is not enough it will leave you with a map that works fine under load but as soon as the load is off the map will be off (to rich or too lean) with AlphaN you can blend it with TPS and MAP to have the best of both. I havent used Alpha N yet but i will probably be using it VERY soon .

LOL it looks like i need to use the spell check more often what i was trying to say is try it map based and see, it might work just fine ,but if you see that you can map it real good under load and when you unload it the map is all wrong then you might have to switch over to Alpha N to get the proper fueling you need. If i lived close to you i would indeed come over and help out all i could nothing like tunning your own setup and getting it to work . If and when i do mess with the AlphaN setup i will keep you informed on how it works and see if i can walk you through it .

The 750 i did was setup as tps with Map trims, We turned it up last week for a airfield event, 50% c16 found out it will not idle smooth with s2000 injectors but top ends fine , with a busa swingarm and bolt on extensions ~+4 it picked up the front in top gear , got to check just how much boost it was running , new gt2860 compressor wheel fitted to the 2854 sure picks up performance. Watching your MS setup with much interest
